2004 'PATRICIA' WHITE TABLE WINE
ESTATE GROWN NAPA VALLEY

Tasting Notes: A unique blend of Johannisberg Riesling and Chardonnay from our vineyard on Pritchard Hill Napa Valley combines the depth of Chardonnay and the light lingering fruitiness and acidity of Riesling. This wine is reminiscent stylistically of our Pinot Grigio with the character of Viognier. It has a slight hint of residual sugar. Definite tastes of peaches, apples and plums combine with distinctive minerality and acidity.

Alcohol: 13.5% by volume
Total Acidity: .75 g/100ml
Total Production: 200 cases

Grapes: Chardonnay from the younger vines and Riesling from our 40 year old vineyard, both located on our vineyard on Pritchard Hill in the Napa Valley. 2004 was a very typical year in Napa Valley with perfect growing conditions for fruit development and for balance between sugar level and ripening for aroma and flavor.

Vinification: Both varieties were barrel fermented and stirred on the lees in older Francois Freres barrels. Aging extended to April 2005 the wine was bottled in June. Light PVPP and Isinglass fining was used to produce smoother and softer taste and remove bitterness. The wine was sterile filtered to avoid possible residual sugar re-fermentation.

Notes from Bob Long: This wine is named, of course, for my wife Pat Perini and is dedicated to her. The colors are her favorites and the red “Patricia” matches her lipstick color. Luscious and lively describes both the wine and Pat.
